Studio owner Dawn Kranz found her love for dance at an early age. At two years old, she developed her skills under the instruction of a former Radio City Rockette. She continued to dance and perfect her craft throughout her youth and teen years. Dawn continued her dance education through college and obtained her Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Montclair State University. She has studied under numerous masters of dance and and was a member of various professional modern and ballet companies. Taking her passion to the next level, Dawn has spent over 20 years instilling a love of dance in her students. She has won numerous awards for her unique choreography and style, created high scoring routines for the NJ Dance Academy Performance Team and also gained experience as a competition judge. Dawn opened NJ Dance Academy to continue to inspire her students through dance. With her focus on technique, respect and fun, she leads her students to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
Alli Gallant is a professional dancer, actor, choreographer and teacher. Raised in Boston, she trained and competed in many styles of dance including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, ballet and Irish dance. After graduating high school, Alli moved to New York City where she studied under the industries best choreographers at Broadway Dance Center and participated in their Professional Semester Program. Since then, Alli has been choreographing, teaching and performing in the tri-state area. Along with performing, Alli’s main passion is working with young artists who share her love of dance and hard work. Some of her award winning choreography for New Jersey Dance Academy’s Performance Team can be found on our YouTube channel!
Alexandra has been studying ballet, tap, pointe, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, lyrical, contemporary and modern from a very young age. She is an award winning group dance and solo piece choreographer for the NJ Dance Academy Performance Team and has also won many awards as a soloist and group dancer. Alexandra brings a high energy to her routines, and uses the most current choreography and techniques. She loves to share her extensive knowledge of dance with others and creates a positive environment for her students to grow. Alexandra will be attending Montclair State University in the fall, where she will pursue a degree in education and continue taking classes to further her dance career.
Renee started dancing at the age of three and showed an aptitude for dance right away. She began dancing competitively by age four and won multiple titles, awards and scholarships. As a member of the NJ Dance Academy family as both a faculty member and former student, Renee has choreographed multiple group dances and solos in all different dance styles. Renee is a certified Medical Assistant currently furthering her education to become a Physical Therapy Aide. Her passion for dance is endless and strives to make a positive impact on her students' lives. It is her goal to not only watch her students grow in to beautiful dancers, but beautiful people as well.
Coach T is very excited about the collaboration between Upside Down Gymnastics and NJ Dance Academy. She is a mother of one amazing 5-year-old Phoenix who shares the same love for gymnastics and dance. Coach T has over 10 years of experience in coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics. As a decorative gymnast, she won various National and Regional titles while competing in USA gymnastics. Coach T is proud to say she was a Collegiate All American Gymnast who won a National title while attending the University of Bridgeport in 2010. Her motive is to provide a safe and supporting environment for all age groups and promote confidence while working hard.
